Padres welcome artists from Kà by Cirque du Soleil to Petco Park

SAN DIEGO, Calif., - The San Diego Padres announced today they will welcome 10 artists from KÁ™ by Cirque du Soleil© at MGM Grand in Las Vegas to PETCO Park on Monday, June 27, as the Padres take on the Kansas City Royals at 7:05 p.m. The artists will present a pregame performance of traditional Chinese and Brazilian martial arts. As part of their first-ever performance at a Major League Baseball game, the KÀ artists will also participate in other pregame elements, including the Ceremonial First Pitch and the National Anthem, and will warm up the crowd during the 7th inning stretch.

KÀ is a gravity-defying production featuring an innovative blend of high-flying feats, puppetry, projections and martial arts. KÀ unfolds on a custom-built, colossal, 360-degree rotating stage which forms the backdrop for this cinematic journey of aerial adventure and perpendicular acrobatics.
