A tradition of fathers and sons
Baseball has long been regarded as a way for fathers to bond with their sons. In the Tageant family, the love and tradition of baseball has connected three generations. In celebration of Father's Day, BTF recently spoke with Jeff Tageant, head baseball coach at Franklinton High School in Franklinton, La., to learn what the game of baseball has meant to his family.

Nationals Youth Clinic- Saturday, July 12
Texas Rangers As part of their efforts to stimulate the growth of youth involvement in baseball and softball programs in the District of Columbia and its surrounding areas, the Washington Nationals, in partnership with Smithfield, will host a series of baseball clinics in 2008.
Nationals coaches and strength trainers are on hand to offer young children a real baseball workout and offer pointers on how to improve their game or just understand baseball a little better. The clinics are open and free of charge for children ages 6-17. Register now »
