The Storm Chasers were held to five hits in a shutout at New Orleans. Christian Colon, Johnny Giavotella and Carlos Peguero were all 1-for-3 plus a walk. Giavotella is batting .389 (21-for-54) with Omaha. Aaron Brooks struck out three while scattering two runs, six hits and two walks over five innings. Donnie Joseph fanned the side in the sixth. Joseph, ranked 14th among Royals prospects by MLB.com, has 18 strikeouts in 9 1/3 innings (17.36 per nine innings).

Justin Trapp's single in the eighth scored Angel Franco and resulted in Northwest Arkansas winning a second straight at Tulsa. Jared Schlehuber added two hits and an RBI. Starter Jason Adam fanned four while holding the Drillers to a run on two hits over six innings. Adam is ranked ninth among Royals prospects by MLB.com. The home-and-home series shifts to Springdale today.

Terrance Gore sprinted home on a dropped third strike, capping a two-run ninth in walk-off fashion. Gore doubled to tie the game at 4-4, then stole third to set up the winning run. Hunter Dozier extended his hitting streak to seven games (.370, 10-for-27). Christian Binford struck out seven Pelicans over five innings, yielding three runs (two earned), eight hits and two walks. Dozier is ranked seventh among Royals prospects while Binford is 12th. The win was Wilmington's first in eight games against Myrtle Beach in 2014.
