  • Astros Select Springer From Triple A Oklahoma City

    The Houston Astros have made several roster moves following last night's game, including the selection of outfielder George Springer to the Major League roster. The Astros also reinstated right-handed pitcher Scott Feldman from the Bereavement List and he will make his scheduled start tomorrow vs. Kansas City. To make room for Springer and Feldman on the active roster, the Astros optioned outfielder Robbie Grossman to Triple A Oklahoma City and designated right-handed pitcher Lucas Harrell for assignment. The announcements were made by Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow.

  • Astros Celebrate Jackie Robinson Day

    The Astros will join the rest of Major League Baseball in celebrating Jackie Robinson Day. Sixty-seven years ago today, Jackie Robinson broke MLB's color barrier on April 15, 1947, starting at first base for the Brooklyn Dodgers vs. the Boston Braves at Ebbets Field.

  • Astros mascot Orbit to ride in BP MS 150 this weekend

    Astros mascot Orbit will be participating in the 30th Annual BP MS 150 Houston-to-Austin Bike Ride this weekend, starting on Saturday, April 12 and ending on Sunday, April 13. The annual two-day fundraising event hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society supports programs and services that directly impact families and individuals affected by MS as well as critical MS research to end the disease.
