Gibson will be on hand for the fundraising efforts, which include the donation of the proceeds of the Opening Day LADF 50-50 raffle and a silent auction, in addition to throwing the ceremonial first pitch on Opening Day presented by Bank of America (Thursday, March 29 at 4:08 p.m. vs. the San Francisco Giants) as the Dodgers recognize the 30th anniversary of the 1988 championship team as part of their celebration of 60 years in Los Angeles. The celebration of the 30th anniversary of Gibson's dramatic walk-off home run in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series will continue during the second game of the season, when the Dodgers will give away a Kirk Gibson Special Edition bobblehead to the first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance presented by Bank of America, a surprise addition to the promotional schedule.

  • LADF partners with AHA & CPD to equip students with lifesaving CPR skills

    The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) today announced its partnership with the American Heart Association (AHA) and the Compton Police Department to give more than 6,000 Compton Unified students lifesaving CPR skills. A $15,000 grant from LADF will make it possible for high school students to receive CPR in Schools training kits developed by AHA, which includes a series of Hands-Only CPR training, automated external defibrillation use and choking relief.

Community Tour presented by Bank of America.
