    The San Diego Padres and Pedal the Cause today announced a partnership expansion that will re-brand the annual cycling fundraiser as Padres Pedal the Cause for 2016 and beyond. The two organizations, which first partnered in 2015, will join forces to make an even larger impact. PEDAL's 2015 two-day cycling event raised $1.3 million for cancer research and treatment centers here in San Diego. Together, the Padres and Pedal the Cause plan to grow the event, increase funds raised, and pave the way for a cure.

  • Padres celebrate 5th anniversary of Comunidad Awards with first award winner

    The San Diego Padres will honor the recipient of the first Hispanic Heritage Comunidad Award for 2016 in a pregame ceremony prior to tomorrow night's game vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates. Humberto Gurmilan, journalist and founder of The Gurmilan Foundation, has been selected as the recipient of the award by members of the Padres' Hispanic Community Advisory Council (HCAC). Continuing in 2016, each winner will also receive $1,000 from the Padres Foundation to be donated to the charity of their choice.

In addition to Domingos Padres, every Sunday at Petco Park will remain a Military Appreciation Sunday and family day, with dedicated branch appreciation days presented by USAA and other military salutes, as well as KidsFest at the Park.
