Padres agree to terms on 2006 contracts with 18 players
tickets for any Major League Baseball game

PEORIA, Ariz. -- The San Diego Padres today announced that they have agreed to terms with 18 players on contracts for the 2006 season. Agreeing to terms were right-handed pitchers Jason Anderson, Stephen Andrade, Kenny Baugh, Scott Cassidy, Clay Hensley, Tim Stauffer and Jared Wells, left-handed pitcher Sean Thompson, infielders Josh Barfield, Adrian Gonzalez, Bobby Hill, Paul McAnulty and Walter Young, outfielders Freddy Guzman, Ben Johnson and Terrmel Sledge and catchers George Kottaras and Pete Laforest. Executive Vice President/General Manager Kevin Towers made the announcement from the club's Spring Training complex in Peoria, AZ.

The Padres have now signed or agreed to terms with 39 of the 40 players currently on their 40-man roster.
