The San Diego Padres announced today that they have agreed to terms on a minor league contract with right-handed pitcher Luis Perdomo and have invited him to Major League Spring Training. Executive Vice President/General Manager Jed Hoyer made the announcement.
Perdomo, 26, spent the majority of 2010 with Triple-A Portland, also making one appearance for the Padres (1 ER/1.0 IP). With the Beavers, he went 4-6 with one save and a 3.40 ERA (31 ER/82.0 IP) in 58 games (three starts). He made his Major League debut in 2009 with the Padres and has gone 1-0 with a 4.87 ERA (33 ER/61.0 IP) in 36 career Big League relief appearances.
