Russell Branyan smacked a pair of a two-run homers, Khalil Greene added a solo shot in the third and Jake Peavy did the rest. The Padres ace blanked the Cardinals on three hits over seven innings, struck out 10 and was 1-for-3 at the plate with a run scored.
