ALCOHOL
The San Diego Padres desire that all guests have a memorable experience at PETCO Park. For those choosing to enjoy alcoholic beverages, we are pleased to make them available at concession locations throughout the ballpark. Guests who consume alcohol are expected to do so in a responsible manner.
With the purchase of any alcohol beverage:
  • Guests must present a valid ID (state issued drivers license, state ID, military ID, or passport). Guests appearing under 30 years old will be asked to present proper identification.
  • Guests are limited to two alcoholic beverages per transaction
  • Alcohol is not vended in seating areas
  • Sales of alcoholic beverages cease at the end of the seventh inning.
California liquor regulations prohibit guests from bringing alcoholic beverages into PETCO Park. Security officers at every turnstile will inspect packages, bags and purses to prevent guests from bringing bottles, cans or any other type of liquid containers into PETCO Park (with the exception of sealed water bottles 20 ounces or less). No person may enter PETCO Park who is obviously intoxicated. The San Diego Padres reserve the right to refuse admission. Alcohol may not be removed from the ballpark.
The Padres and Sportservice reserve the right to alter these policies at any time.
ALL-STAR BALLOTING
The San Diego Padres encourage all guests to participate in the All-Star balloting process which runs typically from early May through the end of June. AUTOGRAPHS
NEW IN 2009: Prior to each Sunday home game, one or two players will sign autographs at the new "Autograph Alley" in the bleacher section of the Park at the Park. 100 vouchers will be distributed randomly to children 14 and younger by our Guest Service Representatives at the various entry gates. The lines will form at the entrance to "Autograph Alley" next to the Friar Shack. "Sunday Signing for Kids" will begin approximately 95 minutes before game time and last 30 minutes. (Times subject to change without notice.)
In addition to "Sunday Signing for Kids," San Diego Padres players often sign autographs before each game when time and Major League regulations permit. As each player's routine will vary, autograph opportunities before games cannot be guaranteed.
There are several areas near the playing field that facilitate obtaining autographs, including the seating sections near the Padres and visiting team dugouts. Guests seeking autographs are asked to comply with all safety instructions given by Guest Services Representatives.
Guests with disabilities have the opportunity to be close to their favorite Major League players through a special access program. Designated for all guests with disabilities (including guests in wheelchairs), this program allows a limited number of guests to enjoy batting practice from a designated location. Because of limited availability, guests are asked to make reservations before arriving at PETCO Park. Individuals wishing to make a reservation should contact PETCO Park Guest Services at (619) 795-5018. All reservations will be handled on a first come, first served basis.
Throughout the year, San Diego Padres players sign hundreds of items that are donated to local charities, to support fundraising purposes and children in need. Due to numerous requests, we are unable to facilitate player autographs on an individual basis.
When possible, information on upcoming autograph sessions will be available on the San Diego Padres Player Appearance Hotline at (619) 795-5275.
In addition, autographed merchandise is available through the San Diego Padres Foundation On-line Auction. Items change weekly throughout the season, so guests are encouraged to visit the site frequently. Visit the Auction »
Guests may also write to specific players requesting an autograph; however, each player has his own method and preference to responding to and fulfilling fan autograph requests via mail. There is no guarantee that items sent to a particular player will be returned. If a guest wishes to attempt to obtain an autograph through this method, it is recommended that they include a self-addressed, postage-paid envelope or box with the request. For a more timely response, we recommend guests seek player autographs in person, whenever possible.
AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (AED)
PETCO Park is equipped with numerous Automated External Defibrillator units located throughout the ballpark. These AED units can be used by any staff member or the general public in case of emergency. The units direct the user via audio alerts on how to utilize the device. H

HALL OF FAME PORCH
In 2005, the Padres unveiled the Hall of Fame Porch, located on the field side of the Batter's Eye. On select dates, guests can visit the area before the start of a game.

HOME RUNS
The audio and video graphics celebrating Padres players' home runs at PETCO Park have a distinct military and nautical flavor. The sound of a ship's horn is the actual recording of the Navy's USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76), a nuclear aircraft carrier, home ported in San Diego. To accompany the horn, an animation of the ship flashes on the FriarVision and a fireworks spectacular blasts from the batter's eye porch during night games.
