PETCO Park Access Guide

PETCO Park
100 Park Boulevard
San Diego, CA 92101

With PETCO Park situated at the hub of the region's transportation network - directly accessible by both public and private means - guests have a number of choices for reaching and returning from PETCO Park. One of the increasingly clear favorites in 2008 was the Trolley, with over 12% of the total ballpark attendance of approximately 2.4 million fans choosing this option. For many, the Trolley remains "the way to go," as it provides safe and reliable service. For our fans traveling from the North County, the Coaster may be the most convenient option.

As we continue to believe that baseball is a game to be enjoyed by all, the importance of making the ballpark an accessible facility for guests with disabilities remains a top priority. With the option of parking in three other facilities adjacent to PETCO Park - the 6th and K Parkade, the D1/D2 surface lot and Tailgate Park - guests with special needs are provided convenient options.

Getting to PETCO Park by Car

For fans traveling by car, four major thoroughfares feed into and out of downtown in all directions: Pacific Highway, Interstate 5, State Route 163 and State Route 94/Martin Luther King Freeway. In addition, eight freeway on- and off-ramps service the area immediately around the ballpark. The Padres encourage fans to carpool to PETCO Park.

Helpful Tips:
Take public transportation. Leave the car behind and take advantage of the San Diego Trolley's service from the north, east and south, as well as service provided by the COASTER or bus.
Choose a parking location based on where you'll be heading after the game. For example, if the final destination is coastal North County, it is wise to park in an area that provides easy access to northbound Interstate 5.
Take advantage of pre-paid parking. Choose a parking location when purchasing game tickets.

Budget Your Time. Plan to arrive early for all midweek day games and sold-out events.
Be Different. Use under-utilized routes to enter and exit the ballpark area, such as Route 94 and Imperial Avenue.

Parking for Guests with Disabilities or Special Needs

Accordingly, all surface lots and parking garages in the PETCO Park Parking and Access Plan meet or exceed the federally mandated parking requirement. (This requirement reserves 1% of the available spaces in a given parking facility for vehicles of individuals with disabilities.)

The Padres are pleased to offer parking immediately adjacent to PETCO Park for guests with disabilities or special needs at the 6th and K Parkade. This garage is located on the west side of the ballpark and can be accessed via 6th Avenue. The parking rate is $12 (subject to change) and is available on a first come, first served basis.
