Getting to Petco Park

With Petco Park situated at the hub of the region's transportation network - directly accessible by both public and private means - guests have a number of choices for reaching and returning from Petco Park. One of the increasingly clear favorites in 2011 was the Trolley, with nearly 15% of the total ballpark attendance choosing this option. For many, the Trolley remains "the way to go," as it provides safe and reliable service. For our fans traveling from the North County, the Coaster may be the most convenient option.

As we continue to believe that baseball is a game to be enjoyed by all, the importance of making the ballpark an accessible facility for guests with disabilities remains a top priority. With the option of parking in three other facilities adjacent to Petco Park - the 6th and K Parkade, the D1/D2 surface lot and Tailgate Park - guests with special needs are provided convenient options.

  • Downtown Parking Map

Padres preferred parking is available adjacent to Petco Park. On weekends, special events and other large crowd games, guests should plan on utilizing public transportation or parking facilities a short walk from the ballpark.

  • Public Transportation

With Petco Park ideally located at the hub of San Diego County's public transportation network, taking the Trolley, Coaster or bus to the ballpark area is a safe and convenient way to go.

  • High Traffic Days

On high traffic days, we recommend alternate ingress and egress routes to Petco Park.

  • Tailgating

Guests may tailgate at Tailgate Park on a limited basis. Guests are required to park in spaces as directed by ACE Parking upon arriving to Tailgate Park.

  • By Car

For fans traveling by car, four major thoroughfares feed into and out of downtown in all directions: Pacific Highway, Interstate 5, State Route 163 and State Route 94/Martin Luther King Freeway.

  • Parking for Guests with Disabilities

The San Diego Padres continue to make a concerted effort to accommodate all fans, including those with disabilities.
