 GENERAL

What is Compadres Fan Rewards?
Compadres Fan Rewards is the official fan loyalty program of the San Diego Padres. As Compadres, fans are rewarded for engaging with the Padres and Petco Park through the activities they already do – purchasing tickets, attending games, loading e-cash to purchase concessions and merchandise and nominating share partners. Points can be redeemed for rewards and exclusive experiences through the Marketplace and Auctions within the Compadres portal on padres.com.

Who is eligible for Compadres Fan Rewards?
Season Ticket Members were automatically enrolled in the Compadres Fan Rewards program at the beginning of the season. Fan loyalty earns Members access to exclusive benefits based on Membership level and tenure. Members may access their Compadres account through the Membership page by clicking Compadres Fan Rewards Login.

Currently, the Compadres Fan Rewards program is only available to Members, but will be available to all fans in the near future.

What is the purpose of Compadres Fan Rewards?
The purpose of Compadres Fan Rewards is to engage Padres fans with the team and Petco Park. The year-round experience rewards the team’s most loyal fans for doing things that they already do. It is our way to show appreciation and recognize fans as part of the San Diego Padres.

Is there a cost to join?
No, Compadres Fan Rewards is free to Padres fans.

Where can I read the program terms and conditions?
The complete program terms and conditions are available at http://m.padres.mlb.com/promo/compadres_terms.

Do I need a computer or mobile device to participate?
Yes. A device with internet access is needed for account login, managing points and completing certain activities. Compadres can manage their accounts through an internet browser via the Compadres portal.

 EARNING POINTS

What are points and how do I get them?
Points are earned for completing official activities. Use points to “purchase” items in the Rewards Marketplace, bid on exclusive experiences in My Auctions. Compadres will lose points if redeemed for entry into a promotion, winning an Auction or purchasing a Marketplace item. More points can be earned by completing official activities.

How can I earn points?
Visit the How to Earn Points link in the My Compadres Rewards section of the Compadres portal to review all the methods of earning points. The Overview page will display the current point balance.

Membership and Tenure: Fans who purchase Season Ticket Memberships will receive an allotment of points. Number of points will be awarded based on the level of membership (Blue, Gold, Platinum and Black). Additional points will be awarded annually based on tenure.

Purchases: Earn points for making single game ticket purchases. In addition Compadres will earn points for making concession and merchandise purchases with e-cash. Find this information in the How to Earn Points section. Please note, the points earned from a purchase may take up to 24 hours to post to the corresponding Compadres account.

Can I purchase points?
Unfortunately, Compadres cannot buy points to add to the account balance. The only way to accumulate points is to earn them.

Will points expire?
We will continue to have rewards available for redemption during the off-season. On February 1, at the beginning of the next season, 50% of points will roll over and 50% will expire. In the event that the program needs to end or be updated we will send an advanced warning to users and give them the opportunity to redeem points prior to their expiration.

I believe there was an error in my points calculation, what should I do?
Please send an email to rewards@padres.com and we will work to quickly address the problem.

 REDEEMING POINTS

What can I do with my points?
Points may be redeemed for two different types of rewards: (1) Auction prizes and (2) Marketplace items. To acquire these rewards Compadres can bid for Auctions and buy Marketplace items.

What sorts of items are available through the auctions, marketplace and sweepstakes?
New items are added regularly to My Compadres Rewards. Here are some examples of rewards:

Auction: Auction prizes could include an exclusive Padres experience such as: an inning in the broadcast booth, honorary first pitch, social media takeover and autographed memorabilia.

Marketplace: Marketplace sales feature special Padres promotional items, autographed items, tours and suites for a game.

How many points can I bid on an auction?
Total Points is the initial balance of available points to use for Auctions. Upon winning an Auction, those points will be deducted from the total points balance. View your available points within each Auction listing ("Total Points Available to Bid"), right above the bid entry box.

Can I win an auction multiple times?
Compadres may not bid on experiences that you have already won. This allows as many unique Compadres as possible to enjoy each experience.

Do I lose points used to bid if I don’t win an Auction?
No, points are only deducted from the Compadre who wins the Auction.

What are membership tiers?
Membership Tiers represent the Compadre level and specific eligible rewards. Some rewards items may only be available for certain levels or categories of Season Ticket Membership, for example.

 E-CASH

What is E-Cash?
E-cash is a fast, easy and rewarding way to purchase concessions and merchandise at Petco Park. All Compadres are automatically eligible to use e-cash. Load e-cash by logging into the Compadres portal and selecting a credit card and amount to transfer to e-cash. Compadres earn 5% cash back in additional e-cash when you preload funds to your account. By signing up for auto-reload, Season Ticket Members will earn a $25 bonus the first time your account reloads. Earn points for each increment of $10 in e-cash spent.

Where can I use E-cash?
E-cash may be spent at all general concession and merchandise locations at Petco Park. Some in-stadium restaurants and premium areas currently do not have e-cash available.

How does my concessions discount work?
By showing and scanning your Membership card or digital barcode at any location in Petco, you receive a 10% discount. If you use stored value e-cash on your Membership card to make your purchase, your discount automatically jump to 15%. Either way, all you need to do as a Member is scan your card with one of the new digital readers at each location.

Will people using my tickets receive a discount as well?
A Membership card is required to receive the discount. If you have nominated someone as a share partner and she/he has their own Membership card, they will receive the same discount. Anyone using tickets who doesn't have a Membership card will not receive the discount.

How do I load funds to my card to receive the larger discount?
Through the new online portal, there is a section labeled "e-cash" that allows you to load funds to your Membership card via any credit or debit card. You can also select auto-reload and never worry about the balance on your card.

What is auto-reload?
Auto re-load automatically adds value to your Membership card whenever it dips below a certain level, for the most convenient experience possible. The values are fully customizable and just for selecting auto-reload, the Padres will give you a $25 bonus the first time you use it!

Can I use e-cash at non-baseball events?
Yes, Season Ticket Members can use e-cash at Petco Park for non-baseball events.

Is there a minimum or maximum e-cash balance?
No.

Will my e-cash be available after the end of the season?
E-cash will be stored on the account and the value will not expire.

What are the Padres doing to protect my credit card information?
Credit card information is not stored on the Compadres Fan Rewards portal. We use a credible PCI compliant payment gateway (Sage) to ensure that information is secure. All prompts to enter payment information are being redirected to Sage.

How do I correct an erroneous charge made to my e-cash balance?
A concessions employee will have the ability to refund any incorrect charges. If a possible erroneous charge is discovered after the game please send an email to rewards@padres.com and we will work to quickly address the problem.

 ACTIVATING YOUR DIGITAL ACCESS - MLB.com AT THE BALLPARK APPLICATION

What is the At The Ballpark application?
MLB.com At The Ballpark complements and personalizes your experience at Petco Park with digital access, mobile check-in, instant fan feedback, social media, offers, promotions, exclusive content and more. You earn points for attending games, loading e-cash and nominating a share partner.

How does the mobile application work for my experience?
The MLB.com At the Ballpark application will house a digital representation of the same Membership card with all the functionality described thus far. There will be one barcode in the application that will store tickets, e-cash value and rewards points all in one place.

Can everyone use mobile?
As long as a fan opts-in to digital ticketing and downloads the MLB.com At the Ballpark application (iPhone or Android), he/she can use mobile.

How do I use mobile?
Using the mobile technology is a very easy and convenient process, described below:

Follow these steps if you have an MLB.com account

  1. Login to the Compadres Fan Rewards/Membership portal using your registered email address
  2. Connect to your MLB.com account through My Membership using your registered email address or sign-up for an MLB.com account
  3. Visit padres.com/ballparkapp to download the At The Ballpark application for your iPhone or Android device
  4. Login to the app using your MLB.com account
  5. Click on Digital Access within the Ballpark icons to view your account and access your barcode

Follow these steps if you need to create an MLB.com account

  1. Visit padres.com/ballparkapp to download the At The Ballpark application for your iPhone or Android device
  2. Create an MLB.com account within the app and login
  3. Login to the Compadres Fan Rewards/Membership portal using your registered email address
  4. Connect to your MLB.com account through My Membership using the account information you just created
  5. Return to the app and click on Digital Access within the Ballpark icons to view your account and access your barcode

Why would I use mobile?
The Padres are making a significant investment in mobile technology to improve fan experience at Petco Park. In addition to tickets, e-cash and rewards, we will continue to roll-out various mobile applications within MLB.com At the Ballpark to improve Member experience. This is a two-to-three year project that will revolutionize every aspect of how you experience a Padres game.

If I have a question or support issue what should I do?
For questions about the program, points or account please email rewards@padres.com with a specific question or issue and a representative will respond with support. Please allow at least 24 hours for a response.

If a question can be answered in the FAQ’s, there may not be an immediate response so please read through the FAQ’s in detail before submitting a question.

I have completed the activities, but I did not earn points right away. Why is that?

Sometimes there is a delay in points showing up on your account. Points can take longer than 24 hours to appear. Compadres can verify that the activity has been counted in the Overview section.

In the event points should have been awarded please contact us and provide as many details as possible about the activity that was not awarded and we will try to assist in locating any issues and award points if applicable. If a purchase (if applicable) was not given credit please email us the purchase date, receipt number, items purchased and amount paid.
