Q: Who is eligible for Ticket Transfer?
A: Any Season Ticket Holder can utilize the Padres Ticket Transfer to electronically transfer tickets to another party. Tickets can be transferred to anyone using a valid e-mail address and that has access to the Internet. The account must be paid in full.
Q: What tickets are eligible for transfer?
A: Tickets that are purchased as part of a season ticket package and parking passes that are purchased as part of a season parking plan are eligible to be transferred. Single game tickets or parking are not eligible for ticket transfer even if a Season Ticket Holder purchased the tickets.
Q: What is the cost to transfer tickets?
A: There is a $4 per order charge, which can be paid by either the sender or the recipient.
Q: What is the latest that I can transfer my tickets?
A: Tickets may be transferred up to a scheduled game time for which they are valid.
Q: What happens to the credit card charge if the transfer is not accepted within 48 hours?
A: The credit card will not be charged if the transfer is not accepted. If the sender chooses to pay the transfer fees, the credit card will be authorized for the transaction amount, but not charged until the transfer is completed. If the transfer offer is not accepted within 48 hours or is declined the credit card will not be charged.
Q: Will I receive confirmation that the transfer has been accepted and completed?
A: The sender will receive an e-mail confirming the initiation of the transfer as well as a confirmation of the successful completion of the transfer. If the recipient fails to accept the offer within 48 hours you will also receive an e-mail notifying you that the tickets have not been transferred. The recipient will receive a notification of the initiation of the transfer with instructions on how to complete the transfer or decline the offer. The recipient will receive another e-mail upon completion of the transaction with a confirmation number.
Q: How does the recipient receive the physical tickets?
A: There are several ways to receive the transferred ticket. You can utilize our Print My Tickets at Home option. Tickets will be emailed electronically as an Adobe Acrobat .pdf document. You can also choose to pick up your tickets at the any of the PETCO Park ticket windows. You will receive an account number when you complete the transfer. Bring this account number as well as a Photo I.D. with you to claim your tickets. Lastly, if the event is at least 10 days from the time of the transfer, we can send the tickets via USPS.
Q: Can the recipient exchange the tickets?
A: Yes. These are season tickets that have not been resold, just transferred hands. They are eligible for Ticket Trade and Unused Ticket Nights.
Q: How do I get started?
A: To access Ticket Transfer, follow the My Padres Account from the dropdown Tickets menu from padres.com. Log in to your season account or create a new account if you have never logged in before. Once you are logged in, click on the My Padres Account from the blue toolbar. Look for the "Transfer My Season Tickets" link and you are ready to start transferring. You can also click on the button below to get started.
Q: I have never registered on padres.com to access My Padres Account and it's asking for me for a PIN number. Where do I get that?
A: If you need a PIN number for your season account, you can call the Padres Ticket Office at (619) 795-5005. You will be asked to verify your account information before a PIN number is issued.
